Patricia was promoted to first grade! It’s so rewarded to see our students, like Patricia, blossom each year in confidence during our yearly interviews. She was all smiles, excited, and very grateful. She still resides with her parents and has decided she wants to become a nurse one day. Sponsored by: Joyce Jorgensen

Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Patricia has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the K-1 grade this year and she’s not sure what she wants to be when she grows up. She continues to live with her parents.

Meet Patricia, who has been generously sponsored by Joyce Jorgensen on behalf of the estate of Dennis Valstad. She is 5 years old and is going to school for the first time in ABC. She lives in Sehyi Geh, Liberia with her mother and father. Her father whose liver is failing due to excessive drinking, is unable to provide for his family. Her interests are playing with her wooden doll which was made by her father from a palm branch, and she has not decided what she hopes to be when she grows up.
