Satta was promoted to 2nd grade! During our interview, she was exciting and active, working hard at her grade level to achieve her dream. She performed very well during the last school year. Satta’s favorite subject is hygiene and she scored her highest mark in math. She still wants to be a nurse and Liberia need nurses! Due to a low number of doctors in Liberia, nurses are our frontline healthcare practitioners. Sponsored by: Donations from General Funds

Thanks to the generous donation from Studz, Satta has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020-2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021-2022 school year. Satta was kept in her current grade level of 1st grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
