Princess: S781-GBO

Princess was promoted to the first grade this year, and she is blossoming in her studies. She loves writing and is improving bit by bit every day. Her teachers often praise her for her eagerness to learn and her determination to keep getting better. Princess lives with her mother and father, who work tirelessly to support the family by making and selling charcoal. Despite their hard work, the profit they earn—about $50 a month—is barely enough to cover their family’s needs, let alone provide consistent schooling for their children. Thanks to the support she has received, Princess is able to attend school, and she is incredibly grateful for this opportunity. She knows that education is her pathway to a brighter future, and she makes the most of every moment she spends in the classroom. Her dedication, resilience, and love for learning inspire everyone around her. We are so proud of Princess and excited to see her continue to grow and thrive in her education! Six-year-old Princess struggles with the stigma of being disowned by her father. Her father claims Princess is not his child. Princess’ mother is struggling to care for her family on the erratic and limited subsistence farming income.  Princess wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She is in first grade. Her mother is thankful for the gift of a scholarship which allows her to use the money saved to improve her family’s circumstances. Sponsored by: Kelly Blanchar
