Twelve-year-old Peter was promoted to second grade!  Though coming across as shy during our follow up interview, Peter is an avid soccer player in his community and leads his soccer team.  He still wants to be a teacher when he grows up. Sponsored by: Donations from General Funds

Meet Peter, who has been generously sponsored by Peter Meagher. He is 11 years old and is in the 1st grade this year. He lives in Gehwee Town, Liberia with his grandmother. Peter’s grandmother is unemployed and could not afford to send him to school on a regular basis.  Peter helps out around the house by drawing water from the well for baths and food every morning and night for his family. His interests are playing soccer and he hopes to be a teacher when he grows up.
