Pauline was promoted to the fourth grade this year. Although she was not available during the school distribution, her materials were left with the school principal. According to the principal, Pauline is a very serious student who approaches her lessons with dedication and focus. She is also a joy to have around, always bringing positivity and enthusiasm to her class. Pauline’s peers recognized her leadership qualities when she was elected as her class secretary, and she continues to set a great example for others with her hard work and friendly nature. Meet nine-year-old Pauline, she is in second grade and lives in Dewoblee, Liberia with her parents and four siblings. Pauline wants to be an accountant one day. Her favorite pastime is dancing and she loves cooking and cleaning. After school she draws water, wash dishes, and studies. Access to water isn’t a small task and is limited in villages like Dewoblee. One has to walk to a nearby creek or flowing stream to fetch water in a bucket and head tote it back to their house.
