Patricia has been promoted to the 2nd grade and continues to enjoy reading. One of the highlights of her last year was when she was called in front of a group at her church to recite a Bible verse. This moment was very special to her and has remained a memorable experience. Patricia’s love for learning and her involvement in her community reflect her strong character and growing confidence. Patricia is eight years old and resides with her mother in Flowin, Liberia.  She is in kindergarten-2 class and want to be an NGO (non-governmental organization /humanitarian organizations) worker one day.  Her mother provides for her family of five through subsistence farming; she grows cassava, sells some and uses some for feeding the family.  Patricia’s father passed away a few years ago.  Patricia is thankful for the gift of a scholarship.
