Last academic year did not favor 11-year-old Patricia. Due to a lingering health problem, she had irregular attendance which contributed to her poor classroom performance. Patricia was retained in first grade. The good news is her health condition has restored to normal and she is looking forward to this current school year. Thanks to the generous donation from Fran & Barbara Roman, Patricia has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 1^st grade this year and still wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She continues to live with her grandmother.

Meet Patricia, who has been generously sponsored by an Anonymous donor (Mohamad). She is 9 years old and is in the K-2 grade this year. She lives in Zorgowee, Liberia with her grandmother. She was abandoned by both her mother and father for unknown reasons. Her interests are just being a kid and she hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
