In spite of the fact that she sustained a second degree burn on her right hand, Dorcas had a successful school year and was promoted to the first grade. Dorcas is attentive, quiet, and academically gifted. Her favorite subject is Math but had the highest score in English. Meet Dorcas, who has been generously sponsored by an Anonymous donor (Mohamad). She is 8 years old and in the K-1 grade this year. She lives in Zorgowee, Liberia with her mother. Her father passed away about 2 years ago, leaving his unemployed wife with 7 children. Dorcas’s interests are playing outside with friends and she hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
