Thirteen-year-old Naomie is now a sixth-grade student; a celebrated achievement for girls living in extreme rural areas. Young teens fall victim to early traditional marriages and sometimes barely complete elementary school before becoming young mothers. We are hopeful Naomie will become a trendsetter in her community. Thanks to the generous donation from Debra Nagel, Naomie has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 5^th grade this year and still wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She continues to live with her aunt.

Meet Naomie, who has been generously sponsored by an Anonymous donor (Mohamad). She is 11 years old and is in the 4th grade this year. She lives in Zorgowee, Liberia with her aunt. Her mother left Naomie with her father but her father has 7 other children that he could not support so he gave her to her aunt to raise. Her interests are learning and then going to teach her siblings and friends, especially the ones who are unable to attend school. She hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
