Naomie passed to the next grade this year and continues to show determination in her studies while helping her family at home. She lives with her parents and siblings, and despite financial challenges, she remains motivated to learn and hopes to achieve her goals. Naomie is grateful for GPA’s support with school fees and materials, which enables her to stay in school and move forward academically.

Naomie has advanced to the eighth grade, where she excels in math and actively participates in class. As the vice president of her class, she demonstrates strong leadership abilities and takes pride in guiding her peers. Despite facing challenges, including rejection by her father, she remains thankful for the sponsorship that has made her dream of attending school a reality. Sponsored by: Tina Schmidt

Thirteen-year-old Naomie is now a sixth-grade student; a celebrated achievement for girls living in extreme rural areas. Young teens fall victim to early traditional marriages and sometimes barely complete elementary school before becoming young mothers. We are hopeful Naomie will become a trendsetter in her community. She has good classroom performance and is good at math (her favorite subject). Sponsored by: Donations from General Funds

Meet Naomie, who has been generously sponsored by an Anonymous donor (Mohamad). She is 11 years old and is in the 4th grade this year. She lives in Zorgowee, Liberia with her aunt. Her mother left Naomie with her father but her father has 7 other children that he could not support so he gave her to her aunt to raise. Her interests are learning and then going to teach her siblings and friends, especially the ones who are unable to attend school. She hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
