Eleven-year-old Lovetee was promoted to second grade and is doing very well in school. Her favorite subject is geography and she still lives with her mother. Lovetee is excited about beginning another school year. Sponsored by: Donations from General Funds
Thanks to the generous donation from Ehab Sabree, Lovetee has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 1st grade this year and still wants to be a farmer when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother. Please note: Lovetee got her hair cut due to the death of her grandmother a week ago. In some parts of Liberia, women, especially daughters and wives, are known to shave off their heads when grieving their parents or grandparent’s death, as a sign of respect to the dead and as a new beginning.
Meet Lovetee, who has been generously sponsored by Brittany Meyers. She is 9 years old and is in Kindergarten-2 this year. She lives in New Yekepa Town, Liberia with her mother. Her father abandoned the mother and his four children 2 years ago. Her mother is a petit farmer and does not produce enough crops to feed her family. Her interests are working on the farm and she hopes to be a farmer when she grows up.
