Louis (pronounced like Louise) was unable to successfully complete her school year and is retained in K-1 (pre-kindergarten). Louis was described as a “slow learner”. GPA does not believe in labels and stands by children like Louis to overcome challenges with success. Meet Louis, who has been generously sponsored by Meicher Family Charitable Foundation. She is 7 years old and is going to school for the first time in ABC. She lives in Gbeleyee Town, Liberia with her father. Her mother died from Cholera 3 years ago. Her unemployed father is having a difficult time supporting his family. Her interests are helping her father cook and she hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
