Julie is nine years old and in the second grade. She lives with her grandmother and three other extended family members in her grandmother’s household. Julie wants to join the army one day. She loves helping her grandmother cook and playing kickball with her friends. Julie’s parents sent her to live with grandma because they could not afford to care for all their children. Grandma welcomed Julie into her household but finds it difficult to pay tuition to enable Julie to remain in school. Thanks to GPA for filling this circle of support for Julie.
