Josephine was retained in the K-1 grade and has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year. Her teacher reports she is a great student but needs more assistance to make a successful pass to the next grade level. One thing for sure, in spite of the life’s curve balls sent her way, Josephine was very eager to learn and start another school year. The drive to achieve has its own way of overshadowing life’s challenges. She continues to live with her father and still wants to be a beautician when she grows up. Sponsored by: Nancy Kokkonen

Thanks to the generous donation from Nancy Kokkonen, Josephine has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Josephine was kept in her current grade level of K-1 for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her father and still wants to be a beautician when she grows up.
