Ruth is still living with her aunt and is promoted to K-2. Her academic progress has been slow, and one can only imagine that it must be attributed to the many family disruptions that has occurred in her short life. Wishing all the best for Ruth as she tackles another school year. One thing for sure, in spite of the life’s curve balls sent her way, Ruth was very eager to learn and start another school year. The drive to achieve has its own way of overshadowing life’s challenges. Sponsored by: JoAnn Bowen

Thanks to the generous donation from JoAnn Bowen, Ruth has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Ruth was kept in her current grade level of K-1 grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her aunt and still wants to be a mechanic when she grows up.
