Jorline has been promoted to the second grade and dreams of becoming a doctor one day. Although she continues to live with her aunt, she has not seen her parents since they left her there about three years ago. She shared how much she misses her mom and dreams that one day her parents will return and everything will be okay again.  Sponsored by: Britt & Tim Freiberg

Meet Jorline, she is nine years old and in the first grade.  It is not clear why she is not in her age-appropriate grade level.  We can only assume that Jorline’s parents did not have the resources to send her to school when she was six years old.  Two years ago, her mom and dad went to the Ivory Coast (a neighboring country) looking for jobs.  Jorline was sent to live with her aunt who is also struggling to make ends meet for her immediate and extended family.  GPA is humbled to be part of the circle of support for Jorline.  She wants to be a doctor one day.
