June 2019: We are pleased to announce that Joanna was promoted to the 4th grade for the 2018-2019 school year. Natalie, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education through Girl Power Africa.

2018:  Meet Joanna Flomo, who has been generously sponsored by the Natalie Buhl. She is 14 years old and in the 3rd grade this year. Both of Joanna’s parents died within a year apart. She lives in New Yekepa, Liberia with her grandmother who is unemployed and could not afford to send Joanna to school.  She hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
