Janet is 14 years old and in the third grade. Her life took a tragic turn when her father went to the farm one day and was bitten by a snake. Unfortunately, the bite led to his death just a week later. After her father’s passing, Janet’s grandmother took in all seven of her grandchildren, including Janet, to raise them. However, with such a large family to care for, her grandmother struggles to provide for all their needs. Despite the challenges, Janet remains determined to make the most of her education. She dreams of becoming a nurse when she grows up, a goal that keeps her motivated as she faces the daily struggles of life.
