Meet Edith, a 10-year-old in the second grade. Edith lives with her grandmother after her father went to search for employment four years ago and has never returned. Despite the uncertainty of her family situation, Edith remains a bright and hopeful child. She has big dreams for the future and aspires to become a pastor one day, hoping to serve her community and help others in the way that she has been cared for by her grandmother. Though life hasn’t been easy for Edith, she is determined to work hard in school, always striving to learn and grow. She finds strength in her faith and in the love and support of her grandmother, who has always been there for her.
