Grace returned for her 2025 school registration and shared that she passed the fifth grade! She was out of the GPA program for a year but is now back. Reading is her favorite subject this year and her teacher reported that she continues to perform very well in her studies. Grace said she feels happy to be back with GPA and is determined to work hard so she can be promoted again next year. Her biggest motivation is her brother and sister–she wants to teach them as much as she can.
Grace lives with her grandparents, who are struggling financially. She helps at home and shared that Girl Power Africa’s support through school fees and supplies helps her remain focused and consistent in school. Grace hopes to become a businesswoman in the future so she can support her family and help care for her siblings. Sponsored by: Ann De Broux

Grace was promoted to second grade. She still dreams of becoming a mechanic one day, She frequently visits the “garage” in her town. Village based garages are interesting. Constructed with makeshift materials, a variety of transport vehicles are serviced. Grace’s favorite subject is math and she continues to reside with her mother. Sponsored by: Donna Ernst

Meet Grace, who has been generously sponsored by Donna Ernst. She is 10 years old and is in the K-2 grade this year. She lives in Zolowee, Liberia with her mother. Grace’s uncle told the Girl Power Africa team during the interview: “Her father had 6 children with my sister and abandoned all of them with my sister and walked away, leaving my sister to suffer with the children. He met a new woman and dashed my sister. It’s just not right Grace’s interests are helping her sisters and she hopes to be a mechanic when she grows up. Grace and her sister, Winifred, are extremely grateful to have been blessed with an opportunity to go to school.
