Thanks to the generous donation from Phil Vasby, Girl has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020-2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021-2022 school year. Girl was kept in her current grade level for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her aunt and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up.

Meet Girl, who has been generously sponsored by Phil Vasby. She is 10 years old and is in the 1st grade this year. She lives in Gehwee, Liberia with her aunt. Her mother died 3 years ago in childbirth. Her interests are cooking and eating, and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
