Felecia has been promoted to the fourth grade this year and is loving school. She left the program for a year but is back! She now lives with a new family and has grown into a healthy, confident, and hardworking student. Her teachers report that she is very dedicated and serious about her studies, and she continues to dream of becoming a nurse one day. Felecia is grateful for the opportunity to attend school and is making the most of every moment in the classroom. We are so proud of her progress and grateful for the support that allows her to continue her education. Sponsored by: Sarah Mani

Nine-year-old Felecia is growing in wisdom! She shared with us “My life looks good now and I know the importance of being part of the educated society”. Her words resonate with many of our supported students who dream of breaking the cycle of generational poverty by becoming an educated and empowered member of society. Felecia still lives with her grandmother and dreams of becoming a nurse one day and is currently in 1st grade. Sponsored by: Audrey Rusch

Felecia received a double promotion and is now in Kindergarten-2! Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Felecia has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She still wants to be a nurse when she grows up. Nurses and health care workers in general are sorely needed in Liberia where access to medical care is challenged by a limited number of health facilities and workers. GPA is honored to walk alongside Felecia and encourage her dream of becoming a nurse. She continues to live with her grandmother.

Meet Felecia, who has been generously sponsored by Joyce Jorgensen on behalf of the estate of Dennis Valstad. She is 7 years old and is going to school for the first time in ABC (Pre-Kindergarten). She lives in Liberia with her grandmother. Both parents abandoned her due to lack of ability to feed and care for her. Her interests are to help save lives and she hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.
