Princess was promoted to the 2nd grade and has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year. She continues to live with her sister. Princess still wants to be a nurse when she grows up. Nurses and health care workers in general are sorely needed in Liberia where access to medical care is challenged by a limited number of health facilities and workers. GPA is honored to walk alongside Princess and encourage her dream of becoming a nurse. Sponsored by: Jennifer Faust
Princess received a double promotion and is now in the 1st grade this year! Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Princess has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. Her sister was very grateful to GPA for playing a parental role in the life of Princess by supporting her educational journey. It sometimes takes a “global” village to raise a child. Princess still wants to be a nurse when she grows up. She continues to live with her sister.
Meet Princess, who has been generously sponsored by Joyce Jorgensen on behalf of the estate of Dennis Valstad. She is 8 years old and is in the K-1 grade this year. She lives in Sehyi Geh, Liberia with her older sister. Her mother died in childbirth and her father abandoned the children. Princess’ 18-year-old sister has taken on the responsibility of raising her siblings. Her interests are helping take care of her baby brother and she hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.
