2018:  Meet Evelyn, who has been generously sponsored by Lori Kong and her family. She is 14 years old and in the 3rd grade this year. She lives in Barpa, Liberia with her father. Evelyn was abandoned by her mother when she about 3 years old. She left Evelyn with her father who has 14 children by 5 different women. Her father is barely making enough money to feed his children. Evelyn’s grandmother who used to help her with her educational needs passed away about a year ago. This year, without the assistance from Girl Power Africa, Evelyn wouldn’t had been able to go to school. She hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.
