September 2021: Thanks to the generous donation from Mark Dumas , Elaine has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the K2 grade this year and still wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She continues to live with her sister.

She is in the k-1 grade this year and still wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She continues to live with her sister. (Please Note: Elaine was out of town on the day of the 2020-2021 school distribution. Her materials were left with the school authorities).
2019: Meet Elaine, who has been generously sponsored by Mark Dumas. She is 8 years old and is going to school for the first time this year. She lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with her sister. Two years ago, Elaine’s father fell in an open well and drowned. Elaine’s 20 year old sister took over the responsibility of raising her siblings. Elaine’s interests are helping her sister and she hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
