June 2019: We are sorry to announce that Darius did not complete the 2018-2019 school year. The only teacher who teaches at the Wenn Town Public School “put down his chalk” because the government has not paid his salary for months. Therefore, all of the students at the school did not complete the school year.  CW, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education. 

2018:  Meet Darius Jarque, who has been generously sponsored by Lori Fischer Hall and Family. He is 10 years old and in the 1st grade this year. He lives in Wenn Town, Liberia with her father.

2017:  Meet Darius Jarque, who has been generously sponsored by Lori Fischer Hall and Family. He is 10 years old and in the 1st grade this year. He lives in Wenn Town, Liberia with her father. About 6 months ago, Darius’s father, who is a palm oil maker, had climbed up into the palm tree to cut some palm to prepare his oil. Unfortunately, he fell about 50 feet from the tree and broke his back and his arm. Since then, he has been unable to work. Darius never completed his school last year because his father did not have the money to pay for his balance tuition.  His interests are playing soccer and he hopes to be a teacher when he grows up.
