Twelve-year-old Blessing is now in grade 5! The older she gets, the stronger her dream of becoming a nurse! No doubt, her dream is strengthened by the situation of having to be one of the care givers for her disabled mother. With only one physical therapy center in the entire country, most people with therapeutically treatable disabilities are left to the care and support of family members in navigating their mobility challenges. Blessing takes it in stride and is looking forward to another successful school year. Thanks GPA amazing sponsors for being a blessing to Blessing. Sponsored by: Pam Albi

Meet Blessing, who has been generously sponsored by Lori Fischer Hall and family. She is 7 years old and in the Kindergarten-1 this year. Blessing lives in Boapea, Liberia with her mother and father. Blessing’s mother was in a tragic car accident on her way to buy goods several years ago. She was the only survivor from the accident out of 12 passengers. However, she became severely disabled from the accident and has been bed ridden since the accident. In a country that does not have automobile or health insurance, she’s 100% dependend on her children and her husband for assistance. Blessing’s interests are learning and taking care of her mother. She hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.
