Christina’s teachers report she “is morally good but exhibited irregular attendance during the school year”. Due to her irregularity in the last academic year, eleven-year-old Christina was retained in her current class (1st grade). Reasons for the irregularity was not mentioned, but GPA team encouraged the school administration to reach out to Christina’s mother to discuss her academic needs. Sponsored by: Meg Prestigiacomo
Thanks to the generous donation from Meg Prestigiacomo, Christina has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 1st grade this year and still wants to be a nurse when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother.
Meet Christina, who has been generously sponsored by an Anonymous donor (Mohamad). She is 9 years old and is in the K-2 grade this year. She lives in Zorgowee, Liberia with her mother. Her mother is unemployed and her father abandoned his family and hasn’t been seen since. Her interests are playing with her friends and she hopes to be a nurse when she grows up.
