Meet Beatrice, who has been generously sponsored by Mandy Verda and family. She is 11 years old and is going to school for the very first time this year, in ABC. She lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with her mother’s friend. Beatrice’s mom is an unemployed single mother with 9 children. Beatrice’s mom had given Beatrice to her sister to raise. Unfortunately, that sister couldn’t afford to support Beatrice as she too has many children of her own. So, she had given Beatrice to one of her mother’s friends to raise. However, that friend doesn’t have the income to send Beatrice to school. Her interests are helping her family and she hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
