Estella was promoted to fourth grade! Her teachers report she is “smart, respectful, and friendly to her peers”. She is showing leadership skills by participating and leading discussions in her class. Estella is seventeen and remains focused to complete high school one day. Thanks to GPA partner network for helping Estella realize her dream of one day becoming a doctor. Sponsored by: Katherine & Dave Batterman
Thanks to the generous donation from Katherine and Dave Batterman, Estella has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019/2020 school year.
We are pleased to announce that Estella was promoted to the 1st grade for the 2018/2019 school year. She still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. With less than 500 doctors serving a population of 4.5 million people, Liberian households often experience fatalities due to treatable illnesses. Children aspiring to become doctors is a worthy cause. Katherine and Dave Batterman, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education.
Meet Estella, who has been generously sponsored by Katherine and Dave Batterman. She is 13 years old and in the K-2 this year. Estella lives in Sopea Town, Liberia with her grandfather. Although both of Estella’s parents are alive, about 5 years ago they abandoned her with the grandfather and have not been heard from since. The grandfather too is unemployed with 13 grand and great-grandchildren. Her interests are helping her grandpa and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
