Annah is 10 years old and is now in fourth grade after passing third grade. She shared that Girl Power Africa continues to support her education by providing her school materials, and she feels happy to be back in school this year. Annah’s goal is to be promoted to the next class, and she stays motivated by her mother and Girl Power Africa. At home, she helps with cooking for about 25 minutes a day, and she hopes to become a nurse one day so she can save lives. Sponsored by: Laurie Teubert

Meet seven-year-old Annah, she lives in Dewoblee, Liberia with her subsistence farming parents and three siblings.  As is the case with many rural families, income from subsistence farming was not adequate to provide much beyond the basics for living: food and shelter. Adequate clothing is a luxury, and the gift of education is often unattainable. She is in the first grade and wants to be a doctor one day.  Her parents could not afford tuition costs for all four of their children and Annah would not have gone to school this year were it not for the gift of a GPA scholarship.
