Anita: S892-DUA

Anita, a bright child, has been promoted to the third grade and continues to live with her mother. She still dreams of becoming a nurse one day. Sponsored by:  Joyce Jorgensen

Nine-year-old Anita live in Duazon, Liberia with her mother and two siblings.  She is in the second grade and wants to be a nurse when she grows up.  A single mother with no assured income caring for three children in Monrovia (Liberia’s capitol city where the community of Duazon is located) is a daunting responsibility.  Anita’s mom works as a house servant and earns less than $70.00 monthly.  Already, she had to send one of her sons to live with his uncle because she could barely provide food and shelter for her family. She reached out to GPA to support Anita and we were happy we could assist.  Thanks goes to our amazing partner support network. Sponsored by:  Joyce Jorgensen
