Twelve-year-old Lovette is in third grade and lives with her aunt in Duazon, Liberia. She attends Duazon Public School and wants to be a nurse one day. Lovette is a remarkable girl and deserves credit for her ability to go to school and also sell plantain chips and peanuts in her community to get extra income to help support her aunt’s household. Each person helps out in whatever way they can: chores, selling edible items in the streets, etc., and together, they are making it work.
