Abraham was promoted to the K2 class this year. He was also elected as his class secretary, showing his leadership skills at such a young age. Abraham is very hardworking and enjoys school a lot. Despite his enthusiasm for learning, he still carries the sadness of losing his brother last year. His love for school and determination to succeed help him push forward every day. Abraham, a seven-year-old from New Yekepa, Liberia, is attending school for the first time in the 2023/2024 school year. He lives with his unemployed, single father, who has struggled to afford education for his children. Abraham’s brother, Edwin, was a sponsored student through Girl Power Africa for several years until his sudden passing in 2022. When our team visited Liberia to enroll sponsored students, Abraham asked if he could take Edwin’s place in the program. We gladly accepted, and now Abraham is thrilled to begin his education.
