Siara: S733-SOP

Siara was promoted to the third grade this year, and her favorite subject is reading. Despite the challenges she faces at home, Siara’s determination to succeed in school is truly inspiring. She admitted that it’s difficult to find time to study because of the heavy workload at home. After school, she fetches around 15 gallons of water each day for her family, helps with cleaning, and assists with cooking. Even with all these responsibilities, Siara manages to carve out time for her studies, showing incredible dedication and resilience. Her teacher describes her as a very hardworking and excellent student. Though Siara is shy and prefers to sit quietly at the back of the class, her commitment to learning shines through in her performance. Siara’s perseverance is a testament to her strength and passion for education, and we are so proud of her for thriving despite the obstacles she faces. She is a wonderful example of determination and hard work. Sponsored by: Dennis & Claudia Naidl

Siara is ten years old and live with her mother and four siblings. She’s in first grade and happy for the opportunity to go to school. Siara wants to be a seamstress one day. Her father abandoned the family a few years ago and has not looked back. This is a common problem in Liberia where women like Siara’s mom aren’t legally married but cohabitating under culturally acceptable norms. GPA sponsor network has become providential “fathers” and “mothers” for many children who fall in Siara’s circumstances. Sponsored by: Dennis & Claudia Naidl
