Rita faced a difficult year as ongoing health challenges caused her to miss significant time in school, making it hard for her to keep up academically. Because of this, she was unable to advance to the next grade, but she continues to show resilience and determination despite these setbacks. With continued support, Rita is being encouraged to remain engaged in her education and focus on regaining stability as she moves forward.

Rita is a bright 9-year-old girl who currently lives with her grandmother. Four years ago, Rita’s father left for the capital city in search of employment, but the family has not heard from him since. While they continue to pray for his safety, the reality is that Rita and her siblings are left under the care of an unemployed grandmother who struggles to provide for their basic needs. Despite these challenges, Rita is an exceptionally serious and dedicated student, as noted by her teachers. Her determination to succeed in her education shines through, even in the face of adversity.
