NIOMI SENAH: E205-DUA
Naomi Seneh is a 39 year old mother of 5 children (ages 1 through 18). Naomi used to work as a teacher’s assistant until two years ago, when her now 18 year old son was in a terrible car accident. The doctors had told Naomi that her son was not going to survive. Naomi told Girl Power that, through the power of prayers, her son was saved. He is now confined to a wheelchair. Naomi had to quit her job to take care of her son. She said that although she is ready to go back to work, she has been having a difficult time finding employment. She came to Girl Power for help with her own business, so she could sell and support her family.
During her interview with Girl Power, I had joked with Naomi, saying that she doesn’t look like someone who is struggling. Naomi replied with, “Old Ma, although things are hard, I don’t want to put it on my face. I’m a clean person. When I go outside, I have to look clean and my dress was 150LD ($1.50). I have this dress for long oh Old Ma. I can just take care of it”.
Thanks to generous donations from Monica E and Amanda M, Naomi will now be able to start her business.
These are pictures of Naomi receiving her new supply of selling goods to successfully start her business. Thank you so much Amanda and Monica, for your generosity and helping to make our world a little better, one girl at a time. God bless you!
