Love is a single mother of three. She was in high school when she had gotten pregnant with her first child. Despite that, Love was very determined to complete her high school education to make her mother proud. Two years later, she had gotten pregnant again, this time with twins… she was totally disappointed in herself and the fact that she had disappointed her mother. Love told me that her father has been missing since the Liberian civil war.  Love said to me ” Old Ma, some months ago, my boyfriend, my only boyfriend, my first love, the father of all three of my children, left me and the children. I don’t even know what I did to him.” And to make matter worse for Love, her mom was so disappointed in her, that she has essentially disowned her. Recently, she and her children were evicted from their home due to lack of a $5 per month rent payment. Love and her kids are currently living with a neighbor of theirs hoping that God will answer her prayers of finding work. She had recently heard about Girl Power and came to us for help. These are photos of Love receiving her new supply of selling goods to now be able to successfully start her very own business and support her family.
