KOU: E409-GBA

JUNE 2022: Kou is a 45-year-old widow living with her six children in Gbapa,
Nimba County.  Kou’s husband was a subsistence farmer and a supportive bread
winner for her home.  Kou and her family were forced to fill his shoes and she
recounts how her children, though small at the time of his death, did all they could
to assist her farming activities.  Girl Power is happy to provide that extra safety net
of assistance to Kou’s struggling family by providing a farming supplies
Empowerment Package. Thanks to the generous donation from  the Girl Power
Africa General Funds, Kou does not have to use their challenged resources to
purchase much needed farming supplies.
