COMFORT DAYEE: E165-DUA
2016:
RECIPIENT: Comfort Dayee – Age 16
Empowered by: Cynthia Wonkeryor
Comfort was 3 years old in 2003 when her mom was tragically killed in a car accident in Monrovia. When her father saw his wife’s body, he almost went out of his mind. He left her with her uncle and went up country with the intentions of coming back. From 2003 til now, he has not returned. Comfort was never send to school like the other children. She stayed home and did the house work. Seven months ago, her uncle put Comfort out of his house at the age of 15 when he had found out that she was pregnant. On April 8, 2016, Comfort delivered with a beautiful baby girl whom she named Jacklyn. Jacklyn’s father is a 17 year old boy who is also living a family. They are afraid that if the family whom he’s living with finds out about Jacklyn, he may be kicked out of their house. So they are keeping Baby Jacklyn a secret. These are photos of Comfort Dayee and baby Jacklyn receiving their new supply of selling goods to now be able to successfully start their very own business. This was made possible by the donations from Cynthia Wonkeryor and her family. (Please see a video of Comfort on our Facebook page)
