Annie Stafford’s husband was a slipper seller who died right before the Ebola epidemic in Liberia. When he died, practically all of their business money, (totaling about $160 USD), was used for his burial and the 3 days feast. Since then, Annie has not been able to get back on her feet. Annie had told me that she had recently heard about Girl Power from a lady in her community. She said, “One woman in my community who use to be poor and now is shinning. The woma tell me about you. When I ask the woma about the secret she use to making her shine, the lady tell me to go see Mrs. Gah Powa”. Ok, I must admit, I love that… MRS. GAH POWA! Hahaha!!  These are photos of Annie receiving her new supply of selling goods to now be able to successfully start her very own business.
