Patricia Gbaylee is a 39-year-old mother of six. She was a fish seller in the community until the Ebola hit Liberia. One of her immediate neighbors had died of Ebola, therefore, the entire neighborhood was on a mandatory lock down. Her business money was what the family was using for survival. Patricia told me, “Old Ma, the Ebola break my business down to nothing… it broke me down to nothing. I can’t find my way out. My son George, he cripple. He can try to help me but look at his foot…”. Her 16-year-old son was born without toes. These are photos of Patricia Gbaylee receiving her new supply of selling goods to now be able to successfully re-start her very own business.
