September 2021: Thanks to the generous donation from Serena Bales, Veronica has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 1st grade this year and still wants to be a lawyer when she grows up. She continues to live with her grandmother.
September 2020: Meet Veronica, who has been generously sponsored by Serena Bales. She is 10 years old and is in the K-2 grade this year. She lives in Sehkimpa, Liberia with her grandmother. Veronica’s father died from high blood pressure about 3 years ago. Since then, she has been living with her unemployed grandmother who could not afford to send her to school on regular basis. Her interests are playing with friends and she hopes to be a lawyer when she grows up.
