September 2021: Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Theresa has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 6th grade this year and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother.

September 2020: Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Theresa has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. She has received a double promotion and she is now in the 5th grade this year. She still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother.

October 2019: Thanks to the generous donation from Jodi Carter, Theresa has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019-2020 school year. 

June 2019: We are pleased to announce that Theresa was promoted to the 3rd grade for the 2018-2019 school year. Eeyore, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education through Girl Power Africa.

2018:  Meet Theresa, who has been generously sponsored by Eeyore. She is 10 years old and in the 2nd grade this year. Theresa lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with her mother.  Since her father’s death in 2013, Theresa’s mother has been working as a domestic worker making about $25 a month to support she and her 4 children. Theresa and her siblings have been unable to afford to go to school on a regular basis. She hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
