2022
Rebecca was proud to finally make it to the second grade! It was a longer route than most, but she’s learned some great lessons on the journey. She has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year. Her favorite subject is social studies, and she still hopes to be a teacher one day. Rebecca continues to live with her mother. 2021
Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Rebecca has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020/2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedules. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021/2022 school year. Rebecca was kept in her current grade level of 1st grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

Meet Rebecca “RB,” who has been generously sponsored by Eeyore. She is 8 years old and in the Kindergarten-2 grade this year. RB lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with her mother. Since the death of RB’s father in 2018, her mother has been working as a domestic worker making about $25 a month to support her and her 4 children. RB and her siblings have been unable to go to school on a regular basis. She hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
