Eleven-year-old Surprise did not have a great school year. She was retained in the kindergarten-2 class. Surprise’s favorite subject is reading in which she had the highest mark in school. She is hopeful of doing better next school year. She still wants to be a teacher one day. Sponsored by: Donations from General Funds

Meet Surprise, who has been generously sponsored by an Anonymous donor (Mohamad). She is 9 years old and is in the K-1 grade this year. She lives in Kialay, Liberia with her mother. Her father abandoned his family when she was still a baby. Her mother is a farmer and doesn’t make enough to care for her children. Her interests are helping more children learn and she hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
