SERENA: S535-SEH

This year, we were unable to meet with Serena during school registration, as they were either out of town, sick, or facing circumstances that prevented them from attending. Even so, their school fees were paid, and all of their school materials were given to the school staff to ensure they receive everything as soon as they return. Because the student was not present on registration day, we were unable to take an updated photo for 2025. Thank you for your understanding and continued support—it truly makes a difference in their life.. Sponsored by: Tina Hinchley

Serena has successfully passed to the 3rd grade this year. While she loves math, English is her strongest subject, where she excels and shows great passion. Serena’s dedication to her studies and her love for learning make her a standout student. Sponsored by: Tina Hinchley

Serena is promoted to second grade! She continues to live with her mother and dreams of becoming a mechanic one day. Sponsored by: Tina Hinchley

Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Serena has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the K-2 grade this year and still wants to be a mechanic when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother.

Meet Serena, who has been generously sponsored by Joyce Jorgensen on behalf of the estate of Dennis Valstad. She is 10 years old and is in the K-1 grade this year. She lives in Sehyi Geh, Liberia with her mother. She was born in Guinea and her father had three wives. Because of the second wife, the father drove Serena and her mother out of the home and they came to Liberia. Her interests are fixing broken cars. She actually goes to mechanic shops and helps hand tools to the mechanics as they are repairing cars.  She hopes to be a mechanic when she grows up.
