Ruth did not complete the school year because her family moved to another town (Gbapa). We hope to catch up with her next year when we visit our students at Gbapa. Her scholarship was transferred to Gbapa. Sponsored by: Donations from General Funds

Thanks to the generous donation from Ashley Guze, Ruth has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020-2021 school year. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021-2022 school year. Ruth was kept in her current grade level of K-2 grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a driver when she grows up.

Meet Ruth, who has been generously sponsored by Brittany Meyers. She is 9 years old and in the K-2 grade this year. She lives in Zolowee, Liberia with her mother. Ruth’s father and mother were farmers. In 2014, her father died during the Ebola epidemic. Her mother has been unable to continue the farming because it’s too physical for she alone. Her interests are helping her mom cut wood and she hopes to be a professional driver when she grows up.
