Ruth is 12 years old and in the first grade this year. Tragically, Ruth’s mother passed away during childbirth, leaving Ruth and her siblings in the care of her older sister. At just 16 years old at the time, Ruth’s sister had to drop out of school to take care of the family. Despite the challenges they face, Ruth dreams of becoming a tailor when she grows up. She is a tremendous help at home, assisting her sister with household tasks and supporting her siblings in any way she can. Ruth’s story is one of resilience and hope. With an education, she aspires to build a brighter future and help her family overcome their struggles. Thank you for believing in Ruth and giving her the opportunity to pursue her dreams! In this picture, (NOTE: in this picture, Ruth was beaten by a neighbor for reason’s unknown to the teacher who brought her to us for assistance. Sadly, this is the life of many of our students who are not living with their biological parents). Sponsored by: Lori Kilstrom Higgins
