Ritta: S838-DEW

Ritta is 12 years old and is now in fifth grade after successfully completing fourth grade. She shared that Girl Power Africa continues to support her by helping cover her school needs, and she feels happy to be in school this year. Ritta said her goal is to be promoted to the next class, and she stays motivated by her grandparents. At home, she helps with cleaning for about two hours a day, and she hopes to become a doctor in the future so she can help care for others. Sponsored by: Tera Reese-Beisbier

Ritta was promoted to the fifth grade, where math is her favorite subject, though she excels most in science. Her teacher praises her regular attendance and positive attitude in class. Meet Ritta, she is nine years old and in the 3rd grade. She lives with her grandmother.  Her mother passed away several years ago and her father could not sustain Ritta and her five sibling, so, Ritta was sent to live with her grandmother.  Ritta loves football, singing, and dancing.  She wants to be a nurse one day.
